Trainee Collections Advisor

About the role

As a Trainee Collections Advisor, you will be responsible for engaging with customers over the telephone ensuring the best possible advice is given. Our role is different from our competitors as you will work on behalf of a number of different clients from different sectors such as parking, financial and utilities.

  • Offering a unique service:
    We believe in empowering our Trainee Collections Advisors and therefore we don’t provide scripts. The role is very hands on and you will be responsible for making the decision on what is the best plan of action in helping our customers achieve a positive outcome on their outstanding debt balance. We go above and beyond for our customers and the priority for our Trainee Collections Advisors is offering quality customer service and support.
  • Training Programme:
    You will undertake an extensive 6 month training programme that will teach you industry specific knowledge such as legal procedures and financial regulations. Every step of the way, you will be guided by our experienced trainers and coaches to enable you become a proficient Trainee Collections Advisor.
  • Skill Development:
    After the successful completion of the training programme, you will experience a variety of learning techniques such as mentoring and coaching. In addition, you will be given first class training in soft skills such as communication, conflict resolution and people skills.
  • BW Legal Academy:
    Once you graduate from the Academy you will be transferred into your own team where you will continue to be supported by your Team Leader, Supervisor and Senior who will aid you in achieving your career goals.

About you

Good time keeping and decision making skills are important for this role, as are excellent written, verbal and listening skills. You will need to demonstrate an awareness of the professional standards required when working within a regulated law firm and the importance of delivering a quality service to our clients.

Qualifications & experience

  • Customer Service experience in a telephone or customer facing role is preferable.

Salary Structure

Starting salary is £16,500, with increases every 6 months after hitting CQ requirements.

After you’ve passed probation your salary will increase to £18,200, and then up to £18,700 after 12 months of service £19,200. These increases are subject to passing a CQ score average over 6 months.

Upon passing of probation, you will be eligible for up to £255 bonus paid monthly, making your O.T.E £23,000. Top performer bonus is increased by 50%.

Requirement to work 1 Saturday in 4 which is paid at time and a half and option for you to work additional Saturdays if you wish.
