About the role

We believe in empowering our colleagues in the Business Support team and this role is very hands-on. You will be responsible for engaging with customers over email and written correspondence, helping our customers achieve the best possible outcome on their outstanding balance.

The priority for our Business Support Administrators is offering quality customer service and support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with customers and 3rd parties via email and letter.
  • Delivering expert advice, ensuring the enquiries are resolved at the first point of contact by adhering with the firms ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ approach.
  • Working on behalf of a number of different clients from different sectors such as parking, financial and utilities, so no one day is the same.

About you

This role is for someone who is perhaps currently working on the phones in a collections role but would now like to move into correspondence-based debt recovery role.

BW Legal is seeking a motivated candidate with a strong work ethic who is driven, professional and takes pride in what they do. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be proficient at problem solving, have resilience in dealing with vulnerable customers and demonstrate objection handling skills.

You will be proficient in time management, decision-making and customer service. You will possess the ability to pick up new information quickly while demonstrating high energy and passion for your role. As a multi-tasker, you will have a strong focus and attention to detail.

Letter writing experience is desirable and candidates must have excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Qualifications & experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 6 months current or previous experience in an office environment.
  • Previous experience working in debt recovery/debt management/debt advice role would be desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of working in a regulated, TCF driven environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of how we work within our regulatory bodies guidelines such as the SRA, FCA, and Financial Ombudsman is preferable.
  • GCSE in English is desirable.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel, is desirable.
