Apprentice Collections Advisor

About the role

BW Legal is proud to have a robust and comprehensive Apprenticeship Level 2 Programme provided by the Credit Services Association (CSA).

As an Apprentice Collections Advisor you will be enrolled onto our 12 month CSA apprenticeship programme which will give you the knowledge and skills to give you a career in the debt collection and debt purchase industry.

  • CSA accredited Level 2 in Credit Control:
    Once enrolled, you will receive extensive on the job training in our Collections department and will be required to attend workshops both onsite and offsite. You will also receive 20% off the job training to allow you to complete all the relevant assignments to complete your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be qualified as a CSA accredited Level 2 in Credit Control.
  • Training Programme:
    You will undertake an extensive training programme that will teach you industry specific knowledge such as legal procedures and financial regulations. You will be guided every step of the way by our experienced trainers and coaches to ensure you become the best Collections Advisor you can be.
  • Skill Development:
    Once you move into the BW Legal Academy, you will experience a variety of learning techniques such as mentoring and coaching. In addition, you will be given first class training in soft skills such as communication, conflict resolution and people skills.
  • Academy Graduation:
    Once you graduate from the Academy you will be transferred into your own team where you will continue to be supported by your Team Leader, Supervisor and Senior, so help is always at hand whenever you need it. They will also focus on helping you achieve your career goals and getting you to where you want to be.

Decision-making and good time keeping is needed for this role as well as demonstrating an awareness of the professional standards required when working within a regulated law firm.

You will understand the importance of delivering a quality service to our clients and have excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.

Qualifications & experience

  • Customer Service experience in a telephone or customer facing role is desirable.

Salary Structure

Starting salary: £10,000, increasing to £11,000 at 3 months after passing assessment, then £12,000 at 6 months after passing assessment.

After 12 months and a successful review your salary will increase to £16,500 and increases every 6 months to £18,200, £18,700 and then £19,200. These increases are subject to passing a CQ score average over 6 months.

Requirement to work 1 Saturday in 4 which is paid at time and a half. Options to work additional if desired.
